The Interim Director of the Office des Changes meets the new Consuls General and Deputy Ambassadors

The Interim Director of the Office des Changes, Mr. Driss BENCHIKH, participated, on Thursday July 18, 2024 at the headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccan Expatriates, an exchange seminar with the Consuls General and Deputy Ambassadors newly appointed for the year 2024. 

On this occasion, Mr. BENCHIKH reviewed the main regulatory provisions governing foreign exchange transactions. He specified, in his speech, that these provisions which benefit both legal entities and individuals aim to consolidate the process of liberalization of exchange regulations and to consolidate the convertibility regime adopted by the Kingdom.

He particularly highlighted the exchange facilities and advantages granted to Moroccans residing abroad, to Moroccans previously Residing Abroad and to foreign investors.

During this meeting, the Interim Director explained the modalities for implementing the voluntary regularization of assets and liquidity held abroad 2024. 

This meeting allowed the Office des Changes to discuss with new Consuls General and Deputy Ambassadors on questions related to the different aspects of foreign exchange regulation.

At the end of this event, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccan Expatriates and the Office des Changes committed to strengthening their partnership, particularly in terms of training and awareness.
