During the first eight months of 2026, imports increased by 15,8%, reaching 617.508 MDH, compared to 533.242 MDH at the end of August 2025. At the same time, exports amounted to 334.892 MDH, up 8,7%, or + 26.934 MDH, compared with the same period of the previous year. As a result, the trade deficit increased by 25,4%. The coverage ratio, meanwhile, declined by 3,5 percentage points.
