Meeting organised by the Swiss Chamber of Commerce

On Wednesday 29 January 2020, the Director of the « Office des Changes », Mr. Hassan BOULAKNADAL was invited by the Swiss Chamber of Commerce to host a conference-debate on the latest developments in the field of foreign exchange.
During this meeting, placed under the theme "Evolution of foreign exchange regulation: what new developments for 2020", the Director of the Office des Changes reviewed the main measures introduced by the 2020 version of the General Instruction of Foreign Exchange Transactions.

Organization of a seminar under the theme: " Master Agreement ISDA"

As part of its training activities, the Office des Changes organized a seminar on Wednesday, December 18, 2019 for the benefit of its personnel under the theme " Master Agreement ISDA ". The seminar was moderated by Mr. Alain GAUVIN, lawyer and partner at the law firm LPA. This seminar was held to clarify the clauses of the ISDA convention, to discuss and debate its application on the Moroccan market and its implications in relation to the exchange regulations.

Organization of a training and awareness session for the benefit of the Belgian-Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce

The Director of the Office des Changes, Mr. Hassan BOULAKNADAL, met on Thursday January 23rd with the Belgian-Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce. This meeting was organized in order to highlight the new liberalization measures introduced by the exchange regulations (IGOC 2020), as well as regulatory requirements and the implementation aspects of the provisions in matter of the Voluntary Regularization Operation.

Training and awareness sessions for the benefit of private banks

Following the publication of the new version of the General Instruction for Foreign Exchange Operations and the start of the Voluntary Regularization Operation on assets and liquidities held abroad, the Office des Changes organized, from 13 to January 22 in Rabat and Casablanca, training and awareness sessions for the benefit of private banks: ATTIJARIWAFA BANK, CIH Bank, CDG CAPITAL, Société Générale, Banque populaire et Crédit du Maroc. These exchange sessions aim to provide participants with the necessary informations concerning the new measures of the 2020th General Instruction for Foreign Exchange Operations as well as the regulatory and practical aspects of the Voluntary Regularization Operation.

Participation at the conference held by the General Confederation of Moroccan Companies in Marrakech-Safi

The Office des Changes participated, on Friday January 17, 2020, at the conference organized by the representatives of the General Confederation of Moroccan Companies in Marrakech-Safi (CGEM-MS), under the theme: The new features of the 2020 foreign exchange regulations: challenges and implications. This meeting was an opportunity to shed light on the provisions newly introduced by the General Instruction for Foreign Exchange Operations and to also cover the regulatory system provided for the Voluntary Regularization Operation.

Meeting with the French Chamber of Commerce

The Director of the Office des Changes, Mr. Hassan BOULAKNADAL met, on January 16th, 2020, the French Chamber of Commerce. The Director of the Office des Changes presented, during this meeting, the main measures of the General Instruction for Foreign Exchange Operations 2020 as well as regulatory requirements and the implementation aspects of the provisions in matter of the Voluntary Regularization Operation.

Participation of the Secretary-General of the Office des Changes at the conference held on the amnesty operation 2020

The Secretary-General of the Office des Changes, Mr. Driss BENCHIKH took part in "la Matinale", a conference-debate organized on December 13, 2019, by " Groupe le Matin". The participants invited to this meeting, under the theme "Fiscal amnesty: towards the end of impunity?", Discussed the various amnesties provided by the 2020 Finance Law.

Meeting with the general confederation of Moroccan companies (CGEM) and the Spanish Chamber of Commerce

A meeting has been held, on Thursday, November 21, 2019 in Rabat, for the benefit of representatives of the CGEM general confederation of Moroccan companies and its Spanish counterpart. This working session has been devoted to the treatment of the system governing foreign exchange transactions, including measures on foreign investment operations in Morocco.
