As part of the preparations for the opening of diplomatic missions of the Republic of Suriname in Morocco, the Office des Changes received, on Tuesday February 22, 2022, a delegation from this country, composed of the Advisor to the President of the Republic of Suriname, the Secretary General of its Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MAE) and Madam Head of the Africa, Australia and Oceania Division at the MFA.

As part of the participatory approach adopted by the Office des Changes, Mr. Hassan BOULAKNADAL participated in a meeting organized by the General Confederation of Moroccan Enterprises (CGEM), Tuesday, February 8, 2022, on the new exchange rate measures.

The Office des Changes participated in the annual meeting of The IMF Committee on Balance of Payments Statistics from October 26 to November 1, 2021.

The Office des Changes continues to supervise and support the companies authorized to exercise manual foreign exchange activity on measures to combat Money Laundering and the Financing of Terrorism.

The Office des Changes continues to organize digital meetings on aspects of foreign exchange regulations in order to best respond to the questions of the banks.

As part of its actions to promote international cooperation in the production of statistics, the “Office des Changes” conducted, from 2 to 8 February, 2020, a technical assistance mission in the field of external sector statistics for the benefit of Niger. A second technical assistance mission will be carried out in Togo for the period from 08 to 14 March 2020. Organized by the International Monetary Fund (IMF) for the benefit of African countries, these training courses provided by the Statisticians of the “Office des Changes” covers the methodological and practical aspects of establishing the Balance of Payments and the External Position global.

From February 10 to 13, training and awareness-raising sessions were provided, 2020, to several actors, namely: BMCE BANK, Credit Du Maroc, Banque Populaire (Fès - Meknès), CDG CAPITAL, Spanish Chamber of Commerce, CIH Bank, Banque Populaire (Marrakech - Béni Mellal).
These working sessions are part of the Office des Changes’s campaign following the publication of the General Instruction for Foreign Exchange Operations 2020 and the launch of the Volunatry Regularization Operation.
 

On the sidelines of the publication of the new version of the General Instruction for Foreign Exchange Operations and the starts of the Voluntary Régularization Operation2020, a meeting moderated by the Director of the “Office des Changes”, Mr. Hassan BOULAKANADAL, took place Wednesday 12 February 2020 with the Order of Chartered Accountants.

In continuation of its awareness-raising actions, the “Office des Changes” organized, from the 03 to 07 February 2020, training sessions for banks and their clients: BMCE Bank, Banque Populaire Tanger – Tétouan, Société Générale, Banque Centrale Populaire and Al Barid Bank. These sessions were devoted to reviewing the new provisions of the General Instruction for Foreign Exchange Transactions (IGOC 2020) as well as the Voluntary Regularization operation (ORS 2020), in its regulatory and practical dimensions.
