In the first quarter of 2026, imports increased by 11.1%, reaching 208,119 million dirhams (MDH) compared to 187,409 MDH at the end of March 2025. Meanwhile, exports totaled 120,749 MDH, a 3.3% increase, or 3,885 MDH, compared to the same period of the previous year. Consequently, the trade deficit widened by 23.9%. The coverage ratio, for its part, decreased by 4.4 percentage points.
