Under the effect of the global health crisis, the year 2020 being marked by a slowdown in economic activity both nationally and internationally, the main indicators of Morocco's foreign trade show mixed results. In fact, exports of goods and services recorded a drop of 15.9%, mainly due to the decline in travel receipts of 53.8%. In contrast, the merchandise trade deficit narrows by 23.1% in parallel with certain indicators that show resilience, in this case, MRE receipts up 5%, and net FDI flows which remain stable due to the fall in expenditure of 41.6% greater than that of revenue (-22.3%).
