    On the sidelines of the preparations for the opening of the Malawi Embassy in Rabat, the Office des Changes received, Tuesday, October 18, 2022, a delegation from this country.
    A presentation was made to this delegation, giving an overview of the Office des Changes, its missions and attributions and outlining the advantages granted by the foreign exchange regulations to diplomatic and consular representations accredited in Morocco as well as to their staff.
    During this meeting, the Malawian delegation and the representatives of the Office des Changes also discussed the various guarantees offered to foreign investors, in particular the freedom to transfer income and proceeds from the sale of foreign investments in Morocco, financed in currencies.
    The delegation is on a working visit to Morocco from October 17 to 23, 2022, thus consolidating the excellent bilateral relations marked by cooperation which extends to several areas.

    Round table

    A framework agreement was signed on June 20, 2022 between the Office des Changes and the National Order of Court Bailiffs (ONHJ).
    This agreement, signed by the director of the Office des Changes, Mr BOLAKNADAL Hassan and the president of the National Order of Court Bailiffs, Mr MORJANE Farid, in the presence of the heads of the regional councils of the Order, as well as officials of the Foreign Exchange Office, constitutes a reference framework for the use of the services of Court Bailiffs in matters of notification, material observation and judicial enforcement.

    Seminar

    The Office des Changes took part, from May 30 to June 3, 2022, in Lisbon, Portugal, in the work of the Task Team on International Trade Statistics (TT-ITS) under the UN Committee of Experts on Business and Trade Statistics (UNCEBTS).


    This meeting, co-chaired by Morocco and Portugal, is part of the mission to revise the trade-related standards, namely International Merchandise Trade Statistics: Concepts and Definitions 2010 (IMTS 2010) and the Manual on Statistics of International Trade in Services 2010 (MSITS 2010) and their companion guides.


    It should be noted that Morocco has been appointed by the United Nations Statistics Department to conduct, jointly with Portugal, the mission to revise international standards in the field of statistics on international trade in goods and services.
