Indicators of foreign trade at the end of January 2022

For the first month of 2022, imports increased by 39.5% or +14,425 MDH, standing at 50,905 MDH. This level reflects the post-Covid19 recovery which was felt in the second half of 2021. Indeed, these imports posted an average of 45,514 MDH/month during this period. Similarly, exports amounted to 30.645 MDH registering an increase of 23% or +5.729 MDH. During the second half of 2021, these sales recorded a monthly average of 29,095 MDH. Thus, the trade deficit increases by 75.2%. The coverage rate, meanwhile, stands at 60.2%.
