Organization of a workshop on Foreign investments in Morocco with the collaboration of the OECD

The Office des Changes announces the holding of a workshop on the theme "Foreign investments in Morocco: Importance, Challenges and Compilation". This major event will take place in Rabat, on September 11 and 12, 2023, jointly with the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development OECD. The Office des Changes aspires to encourage the emergence of innovative ideas and enlightened recommendations, revolving around themes carefully selected by the organizers, for their relevance and potential impact.

Participation of the Office des Changes in a technical workshop on international trade in construction services

From June 6 to 7, 2023, the Moroccan Institute for Standardization in Rabat will host a technical workshop on international trade in construction services, with active participation from the Office des Changes. This significant event will gather distinguished individuals from both the public and private sectors, including notable representatives such as the International Trade Centre, the Office des Changes, and the Ministry of Industry and Commerce. With its global recognition, this workshop is set to provide an ideal platform for the sharing of knowledge and expertise in the field of international trade in construction services.

The Regional Investment Center of Laayoune Sakia EL Hamra region receives a commission from the Office des Changes

In the continuity of its training program, the Office des Changes proceeded, on November 25, 2022, to the animation of a training session provided for the benefit of the Regional Investment Center of the Laayoune Sakia EL Hamra region. The participants in this meeting examined the new provisions of the General Instruction on Foreign Exchange Operations, namely the new facilitation and flexibility measures provided for the benefit of natural and legal persons.

Continuation of training and awareness sessions for the benefit of the Kingdom's Regional Investment Centers

Following its training program for the benefit of the Regional Investment Centers, the Office des Changes hosted on October 28, 2022 a training session for the benefit of the Regional Investment Center of the Casablanca-Settat Region. Like the other training sessions provided during this year for the benefit of the Regional Investment Centers, the participants in the work of this meeting examined the main contributions of the General Instruction of Foreign Exchange Operations 2022.

Organization of a meeting with the Regional Investment Center of the Tangier - Tetouan - Al Hoceima Region

In the continuity of its training actions, the Office des Changes hosted on October 21, 2022, an awareness session for the benefit of the Regional Investment Center of the Tangier - Tetouan - Al Hoceima Region. The organization of this meeting constitutes a favorable framework for strengthening the exchange links between the two organizations. To this end, the work of this seminar was devoted to the presentation of the provisions of the General Instruction on Foreign Exchange Operations (IGOC 2022).

Reception of a delegation from Malawi within the Office des Changes

On the sidelines of the preparations for the opening of the Malawi Embassy in Rabat, the Office des Changes received, Tuesday, October 18, 2022, a delegation from this country. A presentation was made to this delegation, giving an overview of the Office des Changes, its missions and attributions and outlining the advantages granted by the foreign exchange regulations to diplomatic and consular representations accredited in Morocco as well as to their staff. During this meeting, the Malawian delegation and the representatives of the Office des Changes also discussed the various guarantees offered to foreign investors, in particular the freedom to transfer income and proceeds from the sale of foreign investments in Morocco, financed in currencies. The delegation is on a working visit to Morocco from October 17 to 23, 2022, thus consolidating the excellent bilateral relations marked by cooperation which extends to several areas.

Organization of training sessions for the benefit of the Regional Investment Centers

The Office des Changes is organizing a training session on Wednesday, October 19, 2022 within the Regional Investment Center of the Rabat-Salé-Kenitra region, in order to further elucidate the provisions of the Foreign Exchange regulations. On the program of this meeting, the new measures governing investment operations will be examined, in this case the regulatory provisions applicable to resident companies wishing to settle in industrial acceleration zones (ZAI). The organization of this interview translates into facts the effective commitment of the Office des Changes towards the actif elements of the national economy.

Signing of a partnership agreement with the National Order of court bailiffs

A framework agreement was signed on June 20, 2022 between the Office des Changes and the National Order of Court Bailiffs (ONHJ). This agreement, signed by the director of the Office des Changes, Mr BOLAKNADAL Hassan and the president of the National Order of Court Bailiffs, Mr MORJANE Farid, in the presence of the heads of the regional councils of the Order, as well as officials of the Foreign Exchange Office, constitutes a reference framework for the use of the services of Court Bailiffs in matters of notification, material observation and judicial enforcement.

The Office des Changes organizes a series of webinars for the benefit of banks

As part of its participatory approach, the Office des Changes organizes working sessions for the benefit of various categories of national economic operators. In this context, a series of webinars was organized, from February 24 to March 9, 2021, on the theme "Exchange facilities granted to individual residents and non-residents in Morocco". Complying with the prevention instructions against the spread of Covid-19, these virtual meetings mainly addressed the regulatory currency creeds concerning the endowment regime, the investment regime, the account regime as well as other various current operations, planned for the different categories of individuals.

The Office des Changes organized a series of webinars about the Voluntary Regularization Operation 2020

A series of webinars was organized by the “Office des Changes”, from October 12 to 19, 2020, on behalf of local banks. Whitin this framework, several virtual meetings brought together the officials of the “Office des Changes” with 200 representatives of Moroccan banks in this case: ATTIJARIWAFA Bank, Société Générale, Banque Centrale Populaire, CDG Capital, BMCI, CFG, BMCE, Crédit Agricole, Arab Bank, Al Barid Bank, CIH, Crédit du Maroc. The organization of these webinars by the “Office des Changes” aims to auscultate the regulatory and practical aspects of the Voluntary Regularization Operation 2020 in collaboration with its strategic partners.
